Birthday party No. Two!

We had another birthday party in Michigan- this one was a joint party for Sam and my Michigan friend MacKenzie who turned 6. Sammy liked his green cupcakes a little more this time, but he still wasn't totally into them. But I had one AND A HALF! Kenzie got a cake making play dough kit and we all LOVED it. The next generation of burt lake girls: Lila, MacKenzie, Addison and me!

Ball Tent!

When we arrived at Bia and Pop pop's house in Michigan there was an extra special suprise for us... Santa came to their house too and he brought us a ball tent! We loved it and it provided hours of fun for us everyday.

MICHIGAN!

Here we are in the airport on our first big airplane trip. We went to MICHIGAN on Christmas day and stayed for 10 days! Mommy was worried about juggling both of us little kids on the plane and during our lay overs, but we were super good and I was helpful and it all worked out just fine. Just wait til you see the pictures of all the fun we had once we were there!

The Mall Santa

We had a very unsuccessful visit to the mall with Kendall and Bia to see the mall Santa. He was very busy and the line was 2 hours long, so we said "no thank you!" It was fine because we already met Santa at mommy's work. But I thought I'd share these two pictures from the outing.
Here I am showing Minnie (I take her EVERYWHERE) the tree at the mall. Here I am holding Sam for an equally unsuccessful photo shoot.

Hubbards Visit!

When Mommy and Daddy lived in Savannah when daddy was stationed at Ft. Stewart, they became very good friends with Drew and Alicia Hubbard. Daddy and Drew were deployed to Iraq together in 2005 and mommy and Alicia spent a lot of time together. Over the years, they kept in touch but hadn't seen each other in a very long time. Alicia and Drew had twins Evie and AJ a year ago in September, right before Drew deployed to Iraq for a year. He's back now and they are moving to Virginia in May! We can't wait to have them as neighbors. They came to visit us and do some "neighborhood" shopping in December right before Christmas. We were all sad that Daddy wasn't there too, but we had a great time hanging out. I loved helping Kendall with the babies, especially Evie, while the Hubbards were gone during the day. Mommy could tell I miss daddy a lot because I wanted Mr. Drew to do EVERYTHING for me- cut my food, turn on the tv, etc. Here are the only pictures we got- they are of all of us kids:
Here are AJ and Sammy taking a "boys only" bath.

Birthday Boy!

Sammy turned ONE on December 23rd!!! We had a dinner birthday party for him with Bia, Pop-pop, Uncle Dean & Aunt Deb and Heather, Travis, and Robbie plus the Jennings family (Kendall's family) and my friend Jack Foster and his mommy and little brother. We had lobster stuffed tenderloin and elmo cake. Sammy loved being the center of attention, but he didn't really dig the cake. He thought it was sticky and icky. Don't worry, it didn't go to waste!

He loved the music box cake though...
