Naples Botanical Garden Again

Hi everyone, This is our last post from our Florida vacation. These pictures are from another time we went to the Naples Botanical Garden. This day they had a children's tea party with an Alice in Wonderland theme. There was tea with storytime, flamingos everywhere, and I even got to make my own bunny ears. It was a blast. I loved Florida and am so thankful that we were able to spend so much time there with Bia and Pop Pop and Mommy. We'll post Easter pictures next!

Grandpa Jack

Sammy and I were very lucky to get to spend a lot of time with our Great Grandpa Jack in Florida. Here are a few pictures of us with him.

the Beach again

These pictures are from our other day at the beach. We went to Bia's friend Mrs. Baggie's condo and had a wonderful time at the beach and she made us a great lunch. Here I am having fun. Mommy loves the pictures from this day.

Naples Zoo

Wow! What a great zoo. Mommy and Bia were truly surprised at how great this zoo was... after all, it is just Naples. They had kangaroos, tigers, lions, bears, leopards, zebra, tons of monkeys, snakes, and we even got to watch them feed the alligators.
We took this boat out for a ride to see all the islands with monkeys on them- you could only see the monkey exhibits by boat. The zoo also had camel rides! Our camel's name was Josh. I could not wait to ride him. Even though I hate Santa and all characters, I have NO FEAR when it comes to animals. Can you tell I am cracking up in this picture?

Here I am with Mommy and Sammy on the playground turtle at the zoo. There was a playground where we ate lunch, which was great because Bia and Mommy were able to eat (and mom was able to nurse Sam) in peace (that means without me bugging them).

Here's smiley himself.

The zoo had an amazing gift shop and I loved this purple snake. I am really good about leaving things at stores. I never insist on anyone buying me anything- I just play with it there and then I say "Bye Bye Snake"- or whatever it is- and off we go. I throw tantrums about lots of things- but wanting things in stores is just not important to me. Mommy hopes this lasts. We'll see.
More of me on the tunnels at the playground.

Hanging at Bia's House and Uncle Randy visits

Here I am playing on my favorite "toy" at Bia's House- her piano. I like it so much that I take my snacks and juice over to it to eat. Bia doesn't love my icky fingers on the keys, but I get my way with Bia most of the time. Hee hee. Here is Sammy in one of my mom's very favorite outfits, which was my friend Owen's when he was a baby. Sam is lucky because Jenni gave mom all of Owen's baby clothes for Sam. Almost everything he wore in Florida once belonged to Owen. I love Sam's plaid hat. I put it on all the time, and I also make other people wear it, which I find extremely funny.

Bia's brother Uncle Randy came for a visit. Can you believe the last time he held a baby was my mommy and her cousin Sparky? More than 30 years ago! He did pretty well- Sammy LOVED him. And so did I.

Naples Botanical Garden

Naples has a botanical garden and it was so cool. They have a huge children's garden with veggies and flowers that kids can water with a watering can. They have a playhouse and kid sized brooms to sweep it. There was a huge tree house, a dock to bounce on, a beach, sidewalk chalk, a scavenger hunt garden, a water fountain with water spouts to play in, an herb garden with paths so kids can smell everything, and a butterfly garden. I think it was my favorite place in Florida, so we went there a few times. Here are just a few pictures from the first time we went.

Sugden Park Again

We had some pretty cold, windy and rainy days so we only got to go to the real beach twice. But Sugden park (with the water ski lake) was much warmer than the "big beach" so we kept going back. Here are some more pictures from another day there. It was chilly and windy and even rained, but it didn't stop me!!

Bia with Sammy...

Me and mommy walking in the rain.

Sammy loves his beach house.

Kiwadin

We went to Kiwadin beach which is a private beach accessible only by boat. On the boat ride there we saw dolphins!! I loved everything about this day- the boat, the dolphins, the birds, the sand, the beach. It was awesome!
Sammy loved it too. Here he is laughing in his beach tent.

Mommy buried my legs in the sand, which was so funny.

This is me riding the wagon (mommy and Pop Pop pulling it) with all our stuff up the path from the boat dock to the beach. Mom says she had to carry a lot of stuff since we are so little- she must mostly mean Sammy though- we need his carrier, tent, umbrella, diaper bag, cooler, food, drinks, and - oh yeah- my beach toys too. It takes about 4 people to carry it all. Thank godness they had wagons.

This is the boat ride to and from the island. It was cold on the boat, but nice on the beach.

Happy Anniversary Mommy & Daddy and Happy Easter Everyone

We are still trying to catch up on the Florida posts, but I just wanted to let you all know that we had a very happy easter around here today- and my parents also celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary today. We took lots of easter pictures, and we'll get to them right after the Florida posts are up....

Sammy in Florida

I realize Sammy is not in many of our action shots, so I wanted to show you what he's been up to. Of course, he goes on all of our outings in the stroller or in the baby bjorn. He is still happy ALL the time, and rarely cries. He mostly hangs out in his bouncy seat when we're at the house. Mommy likes to put him in it up on the counter out of my reach because I love him so much that mommy thinks I overwhelm him sometimes. She just doesn't know what he likes.

Lily Visits

My friend Lily, who I know from Burt Lake (my mommy and her daddy grew up together) came to visit me. Her great grandparents live in Ft. Myers so she came with her parents and her grandma to play with me- Twice. We had such a great time together. It was chilly the day we were supposed to go to the beach, so we went to the park on a waterski lake instead. The weather (nor the lack of swimming suits) could not stop us from playing in the water.

Or the sand...
