My Sweater

I know we promised more California pics, and they are coming- but we haven't loaded them all yet. In the meantime, I have started daycare (my teacher's name is Miss Egba and I love her) and it has cooled off here, so I am getting to wear some fall clothes, and I wanted everyone to see my horse sweater!

California!

There are a lot of great pictures from my first trip to California for Phil & Vivian's wedding. We will have to post them over the next couple of days. Mom said I was pretty good on the plane out there, but not as good on the plane home. It was harder since it was during the day. Here is a picture of our arrival at our fancy room at the Loew's resort. Our hotel was very kid friendly. Mom & Dad never have paid much attention to that, but now they do. It was also dog friendly so maybe next time we'll bring the pups. They had a pac n play in the room for me with a gift basket including a CD of nighttime music so I could sleep well. I did OK with the sleeping- the time change was hard to adjust to. Anyway, I had the BEST TIME. But thank goodness my Bia & Pop pop came out there with us because my mom & daddy were so BUSY! We'll tell you all about it in the next few posts. Below are pictures from our very first day before the crazy wedding stuff got started. We hung out at the pool all day and relaxed... And played...
And sunbathed (shade bathed for me)...
And caught a nap by the pool....

And ate...
And swam...
And dried off...
What a great day! So then we went to Bed.
Next mom will post the wedding pictures. I didn't go because I was sleeping, but I saw the pictures and Vivian was the most beautiful bride ever (uncle Phil looked OK too).

More Cookout Pics!

We just got back from Phil & Vivian's wedding in California. Sophie's first trip out west was a success and we have pictures to post, but first we wanted to show you some more Cookout Pictures!
Here's lunchtime with the Coreyells & Midberrys: Mosby with James and Chris Midberry (and me!):

First Annual Penny Lane Farm Cookout

Despite a poor showing by Michigan (I guess Notre Dame eventually had to win a game... but we're still supporting you in this rebuilding year, Coach Rod) and a very HOT day with some pouring down rain, we think the First Annual Stolley cookout was a big success. We weren't as successful taking pictures, (we were so busy!) but we have a few. We had about 50 adults and 25 kids show up... including several overnight visitors- Will & Anneleis (whom we hadn't seen in a whole year!) and Smitty (plus Chuck) all came from their duty stations in NC, and the Amans came up from Richmond. In addition to a bunch of good friends from work, it was also amazing to finally catch up with the Midberrys and the Coryells whom we know from Ft. Stewart (Bill & Chris were deployed to Iraq with Ollie) and live in Virignia now. We were lucky enough to also have DC visitors- Jerry Randolph, Jen, Damien & Val! Mosby was a champ giving pony rides pretty much all day. Thanks so much to everyone for coming- and bringing so much great food! And a big thanks to the Hickersons, Smitty and my mom for being the clean up crew. Can't wait til next year!

Sophie and I ready for kick off (check out the football bow my mom made her):

Mosby giving Pony Rides all day- here he is with Owen & Kathleen Blatt. Also, check out Ollie's cornhole set in the background which turned out beautifully:

Big Line for Mosby: Jenni & Owen (we met in Childbirth Class) with me and Sophie (who had to change b/c her Michigan get-up was too hot):

If anyone has more pictures, PLEASE send them! Thanks :) Briana

Dancing!

When Daddy & Mommy got home from work the other day, they turned my music on (I love the Hokey Pokey and "We are Family" and "Celebration"). We danced and I had my pig rattle bracelet on and the whole thing was really funny. I hope they are silly again soon. I like it when they come home in a good mood and are not so serious with their "work faces" on.

My Weekend

This weekend I spent a lot of time with my daddy because my mom was sick with strep throat and she did not want me to get sick. It was very rainy Saturday so we had to stay inside. Here we are reading the paper (don't I look like a big girl?): Watching Michigan football (thank goodness we won!):
I can't stay awake for a WHOLE football game:
and reading a new book:
