First Annual Penny Lane Farm Cookout

Despite a poor showing by Michigan (I guess Notre Dame eventually had to win a game... but we're still supporting you in this rebuilding year, Coach Rod) and a very HOT day with some pouring down rain, we think the First Annual Stolley cookout was a big success. We weren't as successful taking pictures, (we were so busy!) but we have a few. We had about 50 adults and 25 kids show up... including several overnight visitors- Will & Anneleis (whom we hadn't seen in a whole year!) and Smitty (plus Chuck) all came from their duty stations in NC, and the Amans came up from Richmond. In addition to a bunch of good friends from work, it was also amazing to finally catch up with the Midberrys and the Coryells whom we know from Ft. Stewart (Bill & Chris were deployed to Iraq with Ollie) and live in Virignia now. We were lucky enough to also have DC visitors- Jerry Randolph, Jen, Damien & Val! Mosby was a champ giving pony rides pretty much all day. Thanks so much to everyone for coming- and bringing so much great food! And a big thanks to the Hickersons, Smitty and my mom for being the clean up crew. Can't wait til next year!

Sophie and I ready for kick off (check out the football bow my mom made her):

Mosby giving Pony Rides all day- here he is with Owen & Kathleen Blatt. Also, check out Ollie's cornhole set in the background which turned out beautifully:

Big Line for Mosby: Jenni & Owen (we met in Childbirth Class) with me and Sophie (who had to change b/c her Michigan get-up was too hot):

If anyone has more pictures, PLEASE send them! Thanks :) Briana

We are really disappointed that we were not able to make it. It looks like it was a great time! Maybe next year . . .
