In loving Memory of Jessie Logan

Our family suffered the tragic and unexpected loss of Oliver's sister, Jessica Logan on July 3, 2008. Jessie was eighteen, just graduated from high school and had plans to attend the University of Cincinnati. She was a kind, caring, loving and beautiful young woman with an amazing sense of humor. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, that donations be made in her honor to the Cincinnati Children's Hospital. http://www.cincinnatichildrens.org/give/ways/annual/memorials.htm
Godspeed and Rest in Peace Jessie. We love you.

This was really shocking to me, Jessie and I always talked about how one day meeting, or possibly seeing eachother in college. We were kinda of txt/facebook buddies.. and with her not txting me back I was kind of confused... and now a month later I found this out.. I'm very sorry to hear this, she was really an amazing person.

Hi Stolley family,
This may sound a bit weird but....

I have just come across your sad news mid-last year of the death of young jessie Logan.

Did you know there is a venerable and beautiful old yacht here in New Zealand called Jessie Logan?

I work for Radio NZ , and am about to do a programme on Jessie Logan, the boat. So I was googling her to find out a bit more of her history . Hence my coming across your Jessie Logan.

Jessie Logan the boat is over a hundred years old, and has just been completely restored by enthusiasts here. She's to be relaunched here in Auckland today.

I just thought you might like to know and enjoy.

Kind regards
David Steemson

Dear Stolley Family,

The story of Jesse is currently all over Australian tv and the texting issue is getting a lot of coverage. I was googling to learn more about her and I found your site.

As a youth worker in secure care (juvenile detention), I am a reluctant witness to varying outcomes of this damaging behaviour a lot in my line of work and it's an issue that demands direct and much needed attention, particularly in the area of legal reform.

I can't offer you much but please know that I intend to ensure that Jesse's story is included in my education programme and will also be a part of lobbying efforts being presently made to alter laws concerning telecommunications abuses.

Sincerely,
Georgie

I write this with a tear in my eye and a lump in my throat. I am so sorry for your loss. Sorry also for the loss to this world of a lovely young woman. I do not know Jessie or your family other than from what I have read about her. So many people have so many wonderful things to say about her.

I have just read about Jessie today in our UK papers (18th March 2009) in an article about a new scheme over here called 'Cybermentors' which will hopefully help prevent another tragic loss of a young life.

I am staggered that no charges have been brought in this case. Surely her ex-boyfriend should carry the blame here. Surely accountability and punishment will help act as a lesson for these bullies.

Jessie will be in my prayers tonight.

God bless Jessie

Steve

Hello. I am a teacher in Oklahoma. I came across Jessie's story doing research on a 'sexting' activity for my kids. At my school, we had a recent situation similar to Jessie's in regards to nude photos, name calling, etc...In a effort to teach my students the severity of 'sexting', I am using Jessie's story as an example. My students will be responding to her story by applying it to their own lives and in return, writing a letter to our congressman about passing a bill. Just wanted to let you know even though this is a tragic loss, Jessie IS making a difference and living on.
