Sweet Sleeping Sammy

This is pretty much all he does. He wakes up to eat and every once in a while he hangs out with the family, but most of the time he just sleeps. Mommy says he's very sweet. I think so too, although sometimes I want to play with him so I get a little frustrated with how boring he is.

Christmas cookies.

These pictures were from right before Sammy was born. I have to tell you all that decorating Christmas cookies was the best time... I don't get to eat sugar that often and it sure tastes good!

Presents!

I loved all my presents and am still trying to find the time to play with everything. I had a great time opening them. The biggest hits this Christmas were my toy horse trailer and SUV from Nannabel... my new snow boots from mom and dad...

And my Tickle me Elmo from my Bia. Elmo is hilarious when he laughs and I learned to say "OH BOY" from him.

Meeting Sammy

Mommy, Daddy, and Sammy came home on Christmas day in the late afternoon just in time to open presents. It was truly a Christmas to remember. Here are pictures of me meeting my new brother for the very first time. I really like him and I get very concerned about how he is doing. I worry when he cries and when he leaves the room.

Kisses from Mommy.

Seeing Mommy and Sam On Line

As most of you have heard, I wasn't allowed at the hospital because of the risk of spreading Swine Flu. Here is a picture of Pop pop showing me my new brother and my mommy in a picture they sent on email.

Leaving the Hospital

OK, we know people are dying for more pictures. It has been really busy around here!
Here is my brother Sam leaving the hospital. One of the nurses made all the Christmas babies in the hospital holiday hats: Sammy with my daddy while mom was signing the discharge paperwork.

He does a lot of sleeping.

Merry Christmas Everyone

Mom told me on the phone that Sam's billirubin levels are up, which means they are worried about jaundice. He will be fine, but we are pretty sure they will not be home today for Christmas. Even though this is a total bummer, I'm going to wait for them to open presents until whenever they get home so we can do it all as a family. So, these are our last family pictures before Sam was born. At least he's in the pictures!! We wish you all a Merry Christmas from our home to yours!

Blizzard 09- NO Snow!

I'm sure you heard about the big blizzard in the DC area last weekend. We got around 20 inches. It was beautiful. Here are some pics of the farm:

I even went out in it with my mommy for about 5 minutes before I starting yelling "NO SNOW" at the top of my lungs.

Sam's Room

Hi Everybody. Mom is taking some time in the hospital while my new brother is sleeping to post some pictures that we have been wanting to show you, but haven't had time. Here is Sammy's finished room- we went with a tractor theme so it goes with our farm.
His Closet-
Mom says he might have more clothes than me.
Farm scene canvas painting- this is like my horses if you've ever seen it. My Nannabel sent it to Sam.

My mom found the changing table on Craiglist and my dad painted it white and refinished it. Then we found these knobs. Aren't they cute?
Tin tractor signs from the 1950s on the wall, bookshelf for books and toys and a few empty picture frames waiting for new family pictures...Rocker and crib- My mom loves the tractor bedding and window treatment.

Crib and changing table. My daddy installed the crown moulding (just like in my room) and the offset chairrail border and built this shelf up high for Sam's model tractor collection.

Introducing Samuel Logan Stolley

Our family welcomed my new little brother Samuel Logan Stolley at 3:06 PM, December 23rd, 2009. Sammy weighed in at a whopping 8 lbs 12 ozs and 19 inches long. I haven't seen him or my mommy yet but daddy says they are both doing well. I am spending lots of "quality" time with Bia and Pop-Pop while mommy recovers. Daddy says his arrival was alot easier than mine. I can't wait to be a big sister! Merry Christmas...NO SANTA!

NO SANTA!!!

Every year my mommy's law firm has a Christmas party for the kids and Santa shows up. Here are the pictures from this year... you won't see Santa though, because I wouldn't get anywhere near him. The guy is really really scary. Here I am happy with mommy before HE showed up.

Here I am when I first saw him.
Then they told me it was my turn to go sit on his lap. I started screaming in sheer terror and running backwards yelling "NO SANTA!! NO SANTA!!!"

Then, Santa tried to come over to me to say Hi. It only made matters worse...

So, luckily he left me alone. Here I am- much better since I got my dad and my juice box. But I'm still watching Santa to make sure he stays on the other side of the room.
I got a toy anyway. The elves were nice enough. Not sure why they hang out with that guy.

My pony helmet

As you all know, I LOVE the horses. Well, for an early christmas present I got my own toddler sized riding helmet. I know it means that I'm going to RIDE so now I want to wear it everyday when we go feed the horses. It hangs on the hook in the mudroom and everytime I see it I yell "HAT!" and I make Mommy or Daddy put it on me. It is so cool and I feel like a big girl in it. Also, mommy couldn't resist and she also got me the pastel pony reins to match. But since I don't have a pony, they are just a decoration in my room... for now. Don't worry- I'll con my way into getting a pony soon enough.
